Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen für die Einteilung von Drahtpulver-Kombinationen und reinem
Schweißgut im Schweißzustand und nach einer Wärmenachbehandlung für das Unterpulverschweißen von
unlegierten Stählen und Feinkornstählen mit einer Mindeststreckgrenze bis zu 500 MPa oder einer
Mindestzugfestigkeit bis zu 570 MPa fest. Ein Pulver kann mit verschiedenen Massivdrahtelektroden oder
Fülldrahtelektroden eingestuft werden. Die Drahtelektrode wird ebenfalls getrennt nach ihrer chemischen
Zusammensetzung eingeteilt.
Dieses Internationale Norm enthält eine gemeinsame Spezifikation zur Einteilung entweder nach der
Streckgrenze und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 47 J des reinen Schweißgutes oder nach der
Zugfestigkeit und der durchschnittlichen Kerbschlagarbeit von 27 J des reinen Schweißgutes.
