Behandelt sind Anforderungen für die Einteilung von umhüllten Stabelektroden im Schweißzustand (des Schweißgutes) für das Lichtbogenschweißen unlegierter und mikrolegierter Stähle mit einer Mindeststreckgrenze bis zu 500 N/mm2. Die Bezeichnung umhüllter Stabelektroden erfolgt mit Hilfe der Streckgrenze des Schweißgutes. Das Verhältnis zwischen Streckgrenze und Festigkeit des Schweißgutes ist im allgemeinen höher als das des Grundwerkstoffes. Anwender sollten daher beachten, daß ein Schweißgut, das die Mindeststreckgrenze des Grundwerkstoffes erreicht, nicht unbedingt auch dessen Mindestzugfestigkeit erreicht.
