Festgelegt werden Begriffe für die Einstufung und Leistung von luft- und wassergekühlten Luftkonditionierern, Flüssigkeitskühlsätzen, Luft/Luft-, Wasser/Luft-, Luft/Wasser- und Wasser/Wasser-Wärmepumpen mit elektrisch angetriebenen Verdichtern für die Raumheizung und/oder -kühlung. Diese ÖNORM gilt für fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Geräte, die mit Luftkanalanschlüssen versehen sein können sowie für fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Flüssigkeitskühlsätze, die mit eingebauten Verflüssigern oder mit getrennt angeordneten Verflüssigern betrieben werden. Weiters fallen in den Anwendungsbereich dieser ÖNORM fabrikmäßig zusammengebaute Geräte mit fest eingestellter oder variabler Leistung sowie Kompaktgeräte, Einzelgeräte in Split-Bauweise und Multi-Split-Systeme.
