The scope of this standard comprehends all aspects of credit management in business. They contain services as well as underlying organization and processes, and the competences and ethical guidelines of the professional. Thus, this ÖNORM shall standardize the requirements for processes such as solvency monitoring, customer segmentation, billing, monition, up to legal advice and filing lawsuits where neccessary. Standards for technique, personnel, education, customer relations, terms of payment, collection procedures, key performance indicators, etc. have to be defined. This ÖNORM shall not contain any standardization of contractual partners of credit management, e.g., banks and insurance companies, lawyers and notaries, mercantile agencies, management consultants, collection institutes, credit insurance companies etc.
