Diese ÖNORM enthält die allgemeinen Vertragsbestimmungen für Bauleistungen an Verkehrswegen, Brücken und Tunneln (Schiene, Straße, Wasserweg) einschließlich Leistungen der Haustechnik sowie für den damit zusammenhängenden Landschaftsbau. Die Bestimmungen dieser ÖNORM sollen zusammen mit den im Vertrag anzuführenden Normen (z.B. ÖNORMEN technischen Inhaltes) die gleich bleibenden Vertragsbestimmungen von Bauverträgen bilden. Die jeweiligen besonderen Bestimmungen des Bauvertrages für den Einzelfall haben die Bauleistungen selbst und die näheren Umstände der Leistungserbringung festzulegen. In der Gesamtheit soll damit eine vollständige Beschreibung und eindeutige Festlegung der vereinbarten Bauleistung erzielt werden. Diese ÖNORM enthält in Abschnitt 4 als Ergänzung zu ÖNORM A 2050 oder ÖNORM A 2051 Verfahrensbestimmungen, insbesondere Hinweise für die Ausschreibung und die Erstellung von Angeboten. Abschnitt 5 enthält die allgemeinen Vertragsbestimmungen für Bauleistungen an Verkehrswegen einschließlich Leistungen der Haustechnik. Abschnitt 6 enthält die allgemeinen Vertragsbestimmungen für Leistungen des Landschaftsbaues, welche mit der Erbringung von Bauleistungen an Verkehrswegen im Zusammenhang stehen.
