Diese Richtlinie legt Anforderungen an Ausführung und Ausstattung von Pelletlagern bis zu einem Fassungsvermögen von ca. 100 Tonnen sowie Anforderungen an die Anlieferung der Pellets fest. Diese Anforderungen dienen zur Vermeidung und Minderung möglicher Emissionen oder Gefahren im Pelletlager. Sie basieren auf der ausschließlichen Verwendung von Pellets gemäß DIN EN 14961-2. Die Richtlinie richtet sich an alle Personen, die ein Pelletlager oder eine Pelletheizung errichten, betreiben oder überwachen.
