Diese Technische Spezifikation legt das Verfahren zur Bestimmung des thermischen Langzeitverhaltens von elektrischen Isolierstoffen auf der Basis von thermoanalytischen Prüfungen zur Ermittlung der Aktivierungsenergie der thermischen Zersetzungsreaktion und einem konventionellen Lebensdauertest, der einen Punkt des thermischen Langzeitdiagramms zur Verfügung stellt, fest. Das Ziel dieses Prüfverfahrens ist, einen Näherungswert für den relativen Temperaturindex RTE zu erhalten.
