Für nichtgespeiste Stationen stellt der Bus die Energie zur Verfügung, die zum Datenaustausch benötigt wird. Es werden drei verschiedene Profile unterstützt: - Basisprofil: Dieses dreischichtige Profil stellt Fernkommunikationsdienste bereit. - Profil mit DLMS: Dieses Profil lässt die Nutzung von DLMS-Diensten nach den Festlegungen in IEC 61334-4-41 zu. - Profil mit DLMS/COSEM: Dieses Profil erlaubt die Nutzung der DLMS/COSEM-Anwendungsschicht und des COSEM-Objektmodells nach den Festlegungen in IEC 62056-5-3:2013 - bzw. in IEC 62056-6-2:2013.
