Die Anforderungen der Rahmenspezifikation IEC 60794-2 gelten für Kabel dieser Norm. Anhang B enthält einen Vordruck für eine Bauartspezifikation sowie allgemeine Hinweise, falls die Kabel für eine Verlegung vorgesehen sind, für welche die MICE-Umweltklassifizierung nach ISO/IEC 24702 (z. B. industriell genutzte Gebäude) gilt.
