Diese Norm gilt für mineralisolierte Leitungen für allgemeine Verkabelungen mit einem Mantel aus Kupfer oder Kupferlegierung und einer Nennspannung von 500 V und 750 V. Berücksichtigt wird eine korrosionsbeständige extrudierte Außenhülle über dem Kupfermantel, sofern gefordert. Diese äußere Umhüllung ist nicht als elektrische Isolierung des Metallmantels ausgelegt. Anforderungen an Endverschlüsse für diese Leitungen sind in ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 60702-2 festgelegt.
