Dieses Blatt der 60674-3 befasst sich mit den Anforderungen für die biaxial orientierten Polypropylen-Folien mit einer glatten oder rauhen Oberfläche, die koronabehandelt sein kann, wenn dies zur Metallisierung unter Vakuum gefordert wird. Die Folien sind zur Verwendung als Dielektrikum in Kondensatoren vorgesehen. Werkstoffe, die dieser Norm entsprechen, erfüllen anerkannte Anforderungsniveaus. Jedoch sollte die Auswahl eines Werkstoffs durch einen Anwender für einen besonderen Anwendungsfall auf den tatsächlichen Anforderungen für eine angemessene Leistung in diesem Anwendungsfall beruhen und nicht auf dieser Norm allein.
