Dieser Teil der Normenreihe EN 55016-4 legt das Verfahren fest, nach dem die Unsicherheit der Messausrüstung bei der Bestimmung der Übereinstimmung mit CISPR-Störaussendungsgrenzwerten zu berücksichtigen ist. Sein Inhalt ist auch relevant für jede EMV-Prüfung, wenn die Interpretation der Ergebnisse und die daraus folgenden Schlussfolgerungen durch die Unsicherheit der bei der Messung verwendeten Messausrüstung beeinflusst wird. Festlegungen für die Messausrüstung sind in der Reihe EN 55016-1 enthalten, während die Messverfahren in der Reihe EN 55016-2 erfasst sind. Weitere Informationen und Hintergrundmaterial sind in EN 55016-3 enthalten. Die anderen Teile der Reihe EN 55016-4 enthalten weitere Informationen über Unsicherheiten im Allgemeinen, Betrachtungen zur Statistik und die Ableitung von Grenzwerten.
