Die vorliegende Europäische Norm enthält die Anfangsanforderungen, die Maßanforderungen, die optischen und mechanischen Anforderungen am Anfang der Lebensdauer sowie die umweltbezogenen Anforderungen an das Betriebsverhalten, die ein ODVA-Steckverbinder (vorkonfektioniert) (Open DeviceNet - Vendors Association) oder ein mit zylindrischer Titanium-Komposit-APC-Ferrule konfektionierter ODVA-Steck-verbinder mit einem Fusionsspleiß (FSOC), der an einer Seite von einem Industriegehäuse geschützt wird, mit einem Adapter mit elastischer Zentrierhülse und Verbindungskabel erfüllen muss, um als EN-Normprodukt eingestuft zu werden. Das Produkt ist für die Schutzart IP67 bemessen.
