Diese ÖVE/ÖNORN legt Anforderungen und Prüfungen für Elektroinstallationskanalsysteme, für die Aufnahme und, wo erforderlich, für die Auseinanderhaltung oder Separierung von isolierten Leitern, Kabeln, Leitungen und möglichen anderen elektrischen Betriebsmitteln in elektrischen Installationen oder Kommunikationssystemen fest. Die maximale Spannung dieser Installationen ist 1 000 V Wechselspannung und 1 500 V Gleichspannung. Die Systeme sind für die Montage an Wand und/oder Decke vorgesehen. Sie können versenkt, teilversenkt, oberflächenbündig, auf der Oberfläche oder im Abstand von der Oberfläche mit Befestigungsmitteln montiert sein.
