Dieser Teil der OVE EN 60875 gilt für wellenlängenunabhängige Lichtwellenleiter-Verzweiger mit den folgenden allgemeinen Merkmalen: - sie sind passiv, d. h., sie enthalten keine optoelektronischen oder sonstigen Übertragungselemente; - sie besitzen drei oder mehr Anschlüsse für den Eingang und/oder Ausgang der optischen Leistung und verteilen die optische Leistung in vorbestimmter Weise unter diesen Anschlüssen; - die Anschlüsse sind Lichtwellenleiter oder Lichtwellenleiter-Steckverbinder. Diese Norm legt einheitliche Anforderungen für optische, mechanische und umwelttechnische Eigenschaften fest.
