Diese Norm gilt für alle elektrischen Geräte für den Hausgebrauch und ähnliche Zwecke entsprechend IEC 704-1 und den Teilen 2-X von IEC 704 mit Sonderanforderungen für spezielle Gerätearten. Diese Norm gilt für Geräte, die aus einer Massenfertigung (Serien, Partien, Lose) kommen und nach den gleichen technischen Unterlagen gefertigt worden sind und den gleichen Geräuschangabewert haben.
