Dieser Teil der Bestimmungen spezifiziert den IM-Code, dh. das Bezeichnungssystem für Bauformen und Aufstellungsarten von drehenden elektrischen Maschinen. Es sind zwei Bezeichnungssysteme wie folgt vorgesehen: - Code I: Eine alphanumerische Bezeichnung, anwendbar für Maschinen mit Lagerschild-Lager(n) und nur einem Wellenende. - Code II: Eine rein numerische Bezeichnung, anwendbar für einen größeren Bereich von Maschinen einschließlich dem des Codes I.
