Diese Fachgrundspezifikation gilt für elektromechanische Schaltrelais. In Verbindung mit EN 116000-1:1996 stellt diese Spezifikation die Basis für die Bauartzulassung innerhalb des CECC-Gütebestätigungssystems nach CECC 00114 dar. Sie ist aber nicht auf diesen Zweck allein beschränkt: Diese Spezifikation kann auch außerhalb des CECC-Gütebestätigungssystems verwendet werden als allgemeiner technischer Bezug für Prüf- und Meßverfahren im Bereich von elektromechanischen Schaltrelais.
