They can work as experts in all fields of risk management applications: in organisation-wide risk management (enterprise risk management); in sector-specific risk management (products, innovations, projects); the branch-specific risk management (e.g. clinical risk management); in safety management (e.g. fire protection, occupational safety, environmental safety, security management; and in emergency, crisis and business continuity management. The risk manager may be an employee of the organisation or an external consultant and risk expert.
