This ÖNORM specifies requirements concerning competences and experiences for appropriate competent persons for explosion prevention and protecten. This standard provides aid for such employees on decision making on wether they can perform tasks and assessments of situations and risks by themselves and on their own liability, based on knowledge and experience, or if they need to request for assistance by qualified professionals. Excluded from the scope of the present ÖNORM are those skilled personnel and technical persons with executive function, who are allowed to carry on electrical installations in potentially explosive atmospheres in accordance with This ÖNORM specifies requirements concerning competences and experiences for appropriate competent persons for explosion prevention and protecten.
