This ÖNORM is both the basis for the legally required acceptance testing and the basis for the review of its supply agreement with the manufacturer. Since the determination of all parameters specified by NEMA is an extremely time-consuming task, in this ÖNORM a subset of measurements is defined that which can help in identifying significant problems. The purpose of this ÖNORM is to check the significant points provided by the manufacturer's specification in an abbreviated procedure. It is therefore essential for selected test positions, which are achieved with meaningful test equipment, carried out acceptance tests. If necessary, the tests according to NEMA are replaced by simplified custom procedures. Reference values specifying tolerance values for the following consistency checks arer set to ensure optimal image quality at low dose to the patient.
