Diese ÖNORM gilt für die Positronen-Emissions-Tomographie mit stationären oder beweglichen, ringförmig angeordneten Strahlungsdetektoren, jedoch nicht für SPECT-Kameras, die auch im Koinzidenzmodus betrieben werden können. Die ÖNORM hat den Zweck, die für die Konstanzprüfung innerhalb der Qualitätsprüfung notwendigen Verfahren festzulegen. Methoden der Abnahmeprüfung werden in ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 61675-1 beschrieben. Bei der Konstanzprüfung werden der Kalibrierungsfaktor und die Kreuzkalibrierung, die Messstrahlempfindlichkeit und die Gültigkeit der Normalisierung, die transversale Auflösung, die Bilddokumentation, der Abbildungsmaßstab und die mechanischen Teile geprüft, wobei die Prüfungshäufigkeit unterschiedlich ist.
