This standard is intended to serve as a standard for sustainable building security. As such, this standard also provides assistance in the identification, assessment and management of security risks for objects. Moreover, the standard describes the required procedure for the creation of concepts for the protection of objects from intentional threats. The degree of reaction depends on the structure and size of the standard-applying organization (adequacy analysis). To achieve the pursued objective of protection, use is made of technical, organizational and personnel measures. This standard relates to the protection of objects and includes physical goods (machinery, furniture, etc.). It also includes protecting the physical manifestation (disks, documents) of intangible assets (including the security concepts corresponding to this standard). The protection of data processed by machine, as well as any processes and security checks of persons are not part of the protection goals. This standard does not standardize data protection, fire protection, industrial safety, environmental protection and the handling of dangerous goods.
