This ÖNORM is part of the series ÖNORM S 2027 "stability parameters for the assessment of waste from mechanical-biological treatment". The studies under this ÖNORM series for the evaluation of biological reactivity as one of the parameters for the assessment of the deposition ability of mechanically-biologically treated waste thereof. This part 3 of this series of standards describes the process of determining the gas formation in the fermentation test for 21 days. The gas formation over different periods eg 48 days, may be required in the second extension of the reporting period was determined similarly to this ÖNORM. The extension of the evaluation period allows a more accurate assessment of gas generation potential (eg, from source-materials for the anaerobic treatment).
