Diese ÖNORM ist nur in Verbindung mit den ÖNORMEN S 1800 und S 1801 anzuwenden. Das Prüfverfahren ist geeignet zur Bestimmung der Anteile binärer Mischungen aus Polyamid 6.6 oder Polyamid 6 mit Baumwolle, regenerierten Cellulosefasern, Polyester- (Polethylenglykolterephthalat-), Polyolefin-, Polyacrylnitril-, Polyvinylchlorid- oder Glasfasern. Das Verfahren ist nicht anwendbar, wenn die Mischung Polyamid 11- oder Vinylal-(Polyvinylacetat-)fasern enthält. Ist Wolle in einem Anteil von über 25 % vorhanden, so ist ÖNORM S 1806 (Hypochloritverfahren) anzuwenden.
