Diese ÖNORM beschreibt den Bettenaufbau und die Durchführungder Prüfung der Brennbarkeit des Bettenaufbaues mit den Zündquellen Zigarette, Zündholz und Zeitungspapier. Der Bettenaufbau besteht aus Matratze, Matratzenüberzug, Leintuch (eventuell mit Betteinlage und Durchzug), Decke mitÜberzug und Kopfpolster mit Überzug. Die Prüfung ist im all-gemeinen an einem verkleinerten Bettenaufbau durchzuführen, in Ausnahmefällen ist auch eine Prüfung an einem Bettenauf- bau im Maßstab 1:1 möglich. Je nach dem Brennverhalten - beschrieben durch die Nach- glimmdauer und die Nachbrenndauer - werden die Bettenaufbau-ten als Gesamtheit in drei Sicherheitsklassen eingestuft.
