This ÖNORM applies to laser equipment for demonstration purposes, display purposes and shows according to ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 60825-1. Distinction is made between applications where light effects are generated in front of an audience for advertisement, entertainment, ostentation or artwork by laser radiation - called laser shows. This ÖNORM applies also if laser, laser systems or laser equipment are shown to the audience for intended use, regarless of the emission in visible spectral range or outside. Laser equipments of class 1 and class 2 are exempted because they are deemed to be safe and no specifc safety maesures are necessary.
