The present ÖNORM defines the testing of the manual skill and the expertise of welders (installer pipe welders), performing manual welding of low-pressure gas pipes used for house inlet and internal pipes up to a maximum operating pressure of 100 mbar and a wall thickness of at most 4.5 mm. They are intended for the transport of the gas supply companies for public supply through pipe networks combustible gases emitted. This ÖNORM relates only to the welding process 311 in accordance with ÖNORM EN ISO 4063. Relevant certificates in accordance with ÖNORM EN ISO 9606-1 include the authorization of the present ÖNORM.
