This ÖNORM specifies the requirements and testing of instruments for the disinfection of water by UV low pressure lamps. This ÖNORM is to be applied to instruments for the disinfection of drinking water with ultraviolet radiation. The requirements of this ÖNORM are intended to ensure that the disinfection of drinking water complies with the specifications of the applicable food law regulations. This ÖNORM can be applied to UV instruments for disinfection other waters than drinking water.
