This ÖNORM establishes a standardized system for the training of NDT personnel. It defines the levels of competence of NDT personnel according to ÖNORM EN ISO 9712, UIC-Kodex 960 V, ÖNORM EN 4179 und NAS 410 as well as the level of training required for this purpose and the required knowledge and skills. The standardized and organized training of NDT personnel creates a basis for a successful access to examinations and certifications in accordance with ÖNORM EN ISO 9712, UIC-Kodex 960 V, ÖNORM EN 4179 und NAS 410. This ÖNORM deals with qualification as far as organized training at a recognized training centre and in-house-training is concerned. Depending on the requirements to be met by NDT personnel, this ÖNORM shall apply to NDT levels 1, 2 and 3.
