This ÖNORM describes the extraction of that proportion of trace elements (including the problem elements) from agricultural, horticultural and forestry soils, which can be extracted with ammonium nitrate solution. It is used to determine that portion of elements in the ground, which is referred to as "mobile"; in particular, it is used to assess the ecological significance of increased element concentrations based on test values and possibly establishing the need for action.
