Im Rahmen von chemischen Untersuchungen von Böden als Pflanzenstandorten wird die Methode zur Bestimmung der austauschbaren Kationen und der Austauschkapazität (Kationenaustauschkapazität) von Mineralböden festgelegt. Die Methode ist nicht für Auflagehumus zu verwenden. Je nach pH-Wert sind zwei unterschiedliche Methoden vorgesehen. Die wichtigsten Begriffsbestimmungen und die Grundlagen des Verfahrens sind enthalten.
