This ÖNORM defines relevant terms for the measurement of timber, it describes the methods of measurement with the slide caliper, and the electronic measurement business and determines the interpretation of results. New methods for the determination of the taper and curvature are described normatively using electronic logs measuring systems. In addition, the information required in measurement protocols and used in the measurement protocols abbreviations are defined.
