Diese ÖNORM behandelt die Planung von Außenluftbedarf, Luftverteilung, Brand- und Schallschutzmaßnahmen, Regelung und Steuerung, Ermittlung der Wärmeleistung (mit Wärmerückgewinnung), Ausführung sowie Betrieb und Wartung von kontrollierten Wohnungslüftungssystemen. Darunter werden im Sinne dieser ÖNORM mechanische, in Dauerbetrieb befindliche Zu- und Abluftanlagen verstanden, jedoch nicht reine Abluftanlagen. Weiters werden Anforderungen an die Komponenten sowie Methoden zur Prüfung der entsprechenden Leistungsdaten festgelegt.
