This document specifies requirements for demands figures, floor space, distances, and installation heights of sanitary equipment and appliances such as sinks, bathtubs, showers, urinals, seat sinks, and toilet bowls. This document also defines criteria for the selection and arrangement of fittings in combination with sanitary equipment and furnishings, as well as requirements for the sealing of fittings. Its purpose is to ensure proper function of the sanitary fitting with the respective basin. This document applies to all sanitary rooms. For barrier-free sanitary rooms, ÖNORM B 1600, ÖNORM B 1601, ÖNORM B 1602, ÖNORM B 1603 and ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 17210 also apply.
The subject of this document does not include requirements for the design and materials of sanitary equipment and appliances.
