This Austrian Standard specifies requirements for planning, installation and operation for prevention of damage by corrosion, scale formation and deposit in closed warm-water heating systemswith operating temperatures up to 100 °C. This ÖNORM is applicable to new installations and includes instructions for avoidance of corrosion and sludge formation in old installations. This ÖNORM applies to closed heating systems heated directly by boilers und indirectly by convertors (according to ÖNORM EN 12828) with operating temperatures up to maximum 100 °C. If the manufacturer of the heating system and/or the manufacturer of components require additional specifications, these shall be observed.
