Diese ÖNORM ist für die Bemessung des Wärmeabgabe-, Wärmeverteil- und Wärmebereitstellungssystems (Wärmeerzeugungssystems) für Raumheizungen - mit zentraler Wärmeversorgung -, jeweils mit oder ohne Trinkwassererwärmung anzuwenden. Diese ÖNORM ist für Anlagen in Wohnbauten, Verwaltungsbauten und Bauten mit ähnlichem Nutzungscharakter anzuwenden. Es wird ein durchschnittliches Nutzerverhalten (Aufenthaltsdauer, Tätigkeitsgrad, Bekleidungs- und Lüftungsgewohnheiten, Service, Instandhaltung) angenommen. Diese ÖNORM ist anzuwenden für die Wärmeträger Wasser und Wasser-Frostschutz-Gemische bis zu einer maximalen Betriebstemperatur von 100 °C.
