This ÖNORM contains requirements for materials, design and texture of the Rescue harness of fire-brigade employment as well as provisions relating to the testing and marking of conformity. Rescue harnesses which meet this ÖNORM, are used by fire brigades as safety harness and tether, as lifebelt, to rope persons as well as for the use in air service. In addition to the requirements of ÖNORM EN 361 a rescue harnesses has to comply with the requirements of ÖNORM EN 358, ÖNORM EN 813 and ÖNORM EN 1497.
