This ÖNORM deals with a first aid salvage device in which a rescue sheet (abseil sheet) and a sling are packed in a carrying case. For this devices, requirements for materials, specifications regarding the design and condition, provisions for testing and marking as well as provisions for the device holder are specified. In addition to the provisions of ÖNORM EN 1498 and ÖNORM EN 1865-1, this ÖNORM specifies additional requirements and designs for a first aid salvage device for use by fire and rescue services.
