Diese Norm legt Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Wassergehaltes von Polyamiden und Copolyamiden fest, die als Granulat oder Fertigartikel vorliegen. Die Verfahren sind zur Bestimmung von Wassergehalten bis hinunter zu 0,01 % (m/m) anwendbar. Von Bedeutung ist der Wassergehalt bei der Verarbeitung von Polyamiden (PA), bei der er niedrig sein sollte, um den Abbau zu verhindern, und zur Überprüfung des Feuchtegehalts von Probekörpern und Fertigartikeln.
