Solche Fehler können entweder vor und/oder nach dem Strahlen sichtbar werden. Die für Stahloberflächen mit Fehlern, einschließlich geschweißte und bearbeitete Oberflächen angegebenen Vorbereitungsgrade sollen diese Oberflächen für das Auftragen von Beschichtungsstoffen geeignet machen.
