Die Eigenschaft von Beschichtungen, dem Abrieb durch Reinigungsvorgänge sowie dauerndem Unansehnlichwerden durch Fleckenbildung zu widerstehen, ist ein wichtiger Gesichtspunkt sowohl von der praktischen Anwendung her als auch zum Vergleich und Einstufung solcher Beschichtungen. Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Kurzverfahren zur Bestimmung der Naßabriebbeständigkeit fest. Für die Bestimmung der Reinigungsfähigkeit wird (werden) nur das Verfahren selbst festgelegt, nicht aber die Mittel zum Verunreinigen der Beschichtungen.
