Diese ÖNORM legt die Anforderungen an Überwachungsgeräte für Anästhesiegase zur Bestimmung des Gehalts von Anästhesiemitteldämpfen und/oder -gasen in Atemgas- und/oder Frischgasgemischen fest. Ungeachtet der verwendeten Meßtechnik werden sowohl ableitende als auch nichtableitende Überwachungsgeräte für Anästhesiegase erfaßt. Ebenso sind Überwachungsgeräte zur Identifizierung von Anästhesiegasen eingeschlossen. Der Anwendungsbereich umfaßt die Überwachung der Atemgasgemische für Patienten, der Abgabe von Anästhesie-Arbeitsplätzen und von Verdunstern sowie der Abgabe von Anästhesie-Beatmungsgeräten und Anästhesie-Atemsystemen.
