Diese Internationale Norm legt die Prüfverfahren und empfohlenen Werkzeuge fest, die für die Prüfung an Widerstandspunkt- und Buckelschweißungen im Schäl- und Meißelversuch verwendet werden sollen. Sie gilt für Schweißungen an zwei oder mehr Blechen im Dickenbereich von 0,5 bis 3,0 mm. Das Ziel dieser Prüfungen ist die Bestimmung von Punktdurchmesser und Bruchart, sofern die Prüfung zerstörend durchgeführt wird, oder Bestätigung der Schweißqualität wenn die Prüfung als zerstörungsfreie Prüfung durchgeführt wird.
