Mauersteine aus Beton werden beim üblichen Mauerwerk oder beim Sichtmauerwerk für tragende oder nichttragende Zwecke in Gebäuden und Ingenieurbauwerken verwendet. Diese Norm legt die Materialien für die Herstellung von Mauersteinen aus Beton unter Einbeziehung der physikalischen und mechanischen Eigenschaften der Steine fest sowie deren Klassifizierung. Diese Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an geschoßhohe Platten.
