Diese ÖNORM spezifiziert die Anforderungen an die Werkstoffe und die Prüfverfahren für Dichtringe aus thermoplastischen Elastomeren (TPE), die nur in Formen hergestellt und für Verbindungen in folgenden Systemen verwendet werden: 1) Rohrleitungssysteme aus thermoplastischen Rohren für drucklos betriebene Abwasserleitungen in Gebäuden (zeitweiliger Durchfluß bis 95 °C), 2) Rohrleitungssysteme aus thermoplastischen Rohren für drucklos betriebene unterirdische Abflußleitungen und Abwasserkanäle (ununterbrochener Durchfluß bis 45 °C und zeitweilig bis 95 °C), 3) Rohrleitungssysteme aus thermoplastischen Rohren für die Regenwasserableitung. Dichtringe und Rohrleitungsdichtungen aus thermoplastischen Elastomeren sind so zu konstruieren und zu prüfen, daß die Unterschiede zu den in Teil 1 dieser ÖNORM spezifizierten Anforderungen berücksichtigt werden.
