Arbeitsmittel sind alle Vorrichtungen (auch Möbelstücke und Maschinen für den Privatgebrauch), die für die Erfüllung der Arbeitsaufgabe eingesetzt werden. Dieser Teil 1 der Europäischen Norm gilt für die Wirkzusammenhänge zwischen Benutzer und Arbeitsmittel bei Einbau, Betrieb, Einstellung, Instandhaltung, Reinigung, Reparatur oder für Grundsätze, die bei der Berücksichtigung der Bedürfnisse des Benutzers zu befolgen sind.
