Diese Norm gilt für ebene oder vorgeformte Butzen zum Fließpressen aus Aluminium oder Aluminium-Knetlegierungen, die durch Ausstanzen von Walzprodukten oder durch Sägen von stranggepreßten Produkten hergestellt werden. Butzen nach dieser Norm eignen sich zum Herstellen von Fließpreßteilen, wie z.B. Tuben, Dosen oder technischen Teilen. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Butzen, die aus Gußprodukten hergestellt worden sind.
