Behandelt sind Anforderungen für die chemische Zusammensetzung von Weichloten der folgenden Gruppen: - Zinn/Blei, mit und ohne Antimon - Zinn/Silber, mit und ohne Blei - Zinn/Kupfer, mit und ohne Blei - Zinn/Antimon - Zinn/Blei/Wismuth - Wismuth/Zinn - Zinn/Blei/Cadmium - Zinn/Indium - Blei/Silber, mit und ohne Zinn. Auch Angaben für allgemein erhältliche Lieferformen sind erfaßt. Ein Weichlot ist ein metallischer Zusatzwerkstoff, der benutzt wird, um metallische Teile miteinander zu verbinden,und dessen Schmelzpunkt unterhalb desjenigen der zu verbindenen Teile - üblicherweise unterhalb von 450 °C liegt. Er benetzt die Grundwerkstoffe.
