Es wird beschrieben, wie die Eignung einer Schweißanweisung durch Verfahrensprüfung festgestellt werden kann. Die Bedingungen für die Durchführung der Schweißverfahrensprüfung werden angegeben, Prüfumfang, Probestücke und Probenlage sind festgelegt. Schärfere Prüfanforderungen, z. B. durch Anwendungsnormen, sind zu berücksichtigen. Die Grenzen der Gültigkeit eines geeigneten Schweißverfahrens für alle praktischen Tätigkeiten sind innerhalb des Bereiches von definierten Einflußgrößen festgelegt. Die Norm gilt für das Lichtbogenschweißen von Knetwerkstoffen aus Aluminium und seinen schweißgeeigneten Legierungen nach ISO 2092 und ISO 2107, wobei die folgenden Verfahren erfaßt sind: Metall-Inertgasschweißen (MIG)Wolfgram-Inertgasschweißen (WIG) Plasmaschweißen
